AI model comparison

Claude Haiku 5.5 vs GPT-6 Luna

Compare pricing, context limits, supported inputs and deployment options to choose a model for your workflow.

Compare Claude Haiku 5.5 with GPT-6 Luna for the task you actually need to complete. Haiku 5.5 is positioned for extraction, classification, routing and narrowly scoped agent work. GPT-6 Luna is also positioned for high-volume, cost-sensitive work, making this a useful comparison of interface behavior and accepted results.

Check whether each model can hold the input and tool results your workflow needs before comparing the token rates.

Haiku’s starting price applies to prompts with no more than 100K input tokens. Longer prompts have different rates. The figures below identify recorded routes; compare a complete run, including reasoning, tools and retries.

Side-by-sideCapabilities and practical differences

Anthropic

Claude Haiku 5.5

Claude’s small model for high-volume extraction, classification and routing, with adaptive thinking and a 1M-token context window.

Workload guidance

Which model should you choose?

Choosing for repeated work

Start with the smaller route on extraction and routing tasks with objective acceptance rules. Compare the errors against the cost of retrying or sending the case to a stronger model. Use a held-out set with missing information and ambiguous cases.

For longer agent runs, count finished tasks and required corrections, not just the quality of the first reply. Keep the same tools and input material, and set thinking effort deliberately. Haiku 5.5’s prompt-size tiers and newer tokenizer need to be included in the cost estimate. SyncDev has not independently benchmarked these two models against each other.
