What is the Intercom Official MCP Server?

Intercom’s official hosted MCP server gives a supported assistant documented access to conversation, contact and Help Center workflows.

Connection and access

The documented endpoint is https://mcp.intercom.com/mcp. Current documentation lists US-hosted workspace support and a Streamable HTTP endpoint. OAuth is recommended, with bearer-token authentication also documented. Check region support before using the same configuration for another workspace.

Use the configuration documented for your chosen client. Complete any required account authorization, inspect the discovered tools and begin with one read whose answer you already know.

A useful first workflow

Start with a specified conversation and summarize the customer’s unresolved issue with source context. Distinguish a customer report from a confirmed defect, and preserve the linked conversation for the support team.

Keep resource identifiers and source links in the answer. They make it possible to reproduce the result and identify whether the assistant used the intended document, workspace or dataset.

Check the outcome

Follow pagination when reviewing a larger result set. For a Help Center update, review the target article, replacement text and publication context. The available operations depend on workspace permissions and the granted scopes.

If a connection works but the workflow fails, inspect the resource scope and required arguments before changing the URL. For recurring use, retain the client version and the selected account or source context with the workflow, then recheck discovery after updates.
