What is the Giveready MCP server?

If you already use Giveready, the giveready mcp server is the piece that lets your assistant work with it directly. Making small nonprofits discoverable and donatable through AI.

What the server does

Open-source infrastructure for AI agents to discover youth nonprofits and send them money directly. No intermediary. No platform fees. Nonprofits keep 100%.

Finn Wardman died on April 8, 2023. He was 20. He was a freeride skier, a surfer, and one of the funniest people in any room. The World Explorer Fund exists so other young people get to have the kind of adventures he lived for. GiveReady exists so that fund — and hundreds of small nonprofits like it — can receive donations from anywhere in the world without an intermediary taking a cut.

Installation

The server ships on npm as wrangler, so your MCP client can launch it on demand — there is no separate build step. Add the server block to your client's configuration, restart it, and the tools register themselves.

Available tools

The toolset is worth reading before you wire it up, because it tells you what the integration is really for:

  • Endpoint — Description

Worth knowing first

  • It runs with your machine's permissions. That is convenient and also the reason to think about what you point it at before you approve a tool call.
  • Keep per-call confirmation enabled while you learn its behaviour; it is the cheapest safeguard you have.

Where it fits

This sits in the developer tooling group, where several servers overlap in what they claim to do but differ sharply once you actually set them up. Giveready's toolset — Endpoint — is a fair guide to whether it matches your workflow. It is maintained by gswardman; worth a glance at recent repository activity before you build anything load-bearing on it.

This entry was verified against Giveready's own documentation before publication; SyncDev keeps the directory reviewed rather than auto-generated.
