What is the EMCP Tools for WordPress MCP Server?

EMCP Tools connects assistants to WordPress and supported page builders with site-specific permissions and generated MCP client configurations.

Work inside a WordPress site

The plugin exposes WordPress and page-builder capabilities to an assistant. Supported integrations cover several standalone builders and Gutenberg-related extensions, with individual feature toggles. Tool scope follows the installed builders, plugin configuration and the authenticated WordPress user's capabilities.

Generate a configuration for your site

Install the project release in the intended WordPress environment and use its Connection screen. The repository also documents a local WP-CLI stdio route and an npm proxy for a remote site. The proxy runs on the assistant's machine and connects with the site's URL, username and application password. There is no universal hosted EMCP endpoint for every WordPress installation.

Inspect a staging change

Begin with a staging page and a limited user. Request one content or layout change, inspect it in the builder and compare the published view before extending the workflow. Builder-specific Pro adapters have their own scope and supported versions. Keep a recoverable site backup and verify the target page before enabling write-capable tools.
