Tasks and inputs
North Micro Vision Instruct is listed for Image-text-to-text. It accepts text, image and produces text. Use the publisher’s input format and preprocessing for your chosen deployment.

North Micro Vision Instruct is a compact Apache-licensed vision-language checkpoint for text and image understanding.
The specification score summarizes recorded features and limits. It is not a benchmark result.
Recorded modality support shows what this model can accept and produce. An undocumented modality is shown as unknown rather than assumed to be unsupported.

North Micro Vision Instruct is a compact Apache-licensed vision-language checkpoint for text and image understanding.
The model combines a 2B language backbone with a 400M vision component. The publisher describes native-resolution image handling, multiple-image input and support across eleven languages. The language backbone supports 128K context, while the card states that multimodal use has been validated at 8K. This profile records the tested multimodal scope rather than treating the backbone figure as a proven image-workload limit.
Try a product-photo question, a comparison between two supplied images and a document page containing both text and a diagram. Define the expected evidence before judging the answer. Check small print, counts, relative positions and whether the model refers to the correct image. Include a case that requires acknowledging an unreadable or absent detail.
Use the required architecture support, processor and chat template from the publisher’s serving instructions. Multi-image requests can increase token use and memory despite a compact parameter count, so test the resolution and number of images your application needs. Keep preprocessing fixed when comparing with another model.
The Apache licence applies to this checkpoint. Download availability does not establish a managed Cohere endpoint or a hosted token rate. For deployment, measure the complete request path, including image decoding and preprocessing, and assess the proportion of answers that satisfy the task before choosing a smaller model solely for lower memory use.
Compare the model on the work you need to complete.
North Micro Vision Instruct is listed for Image-text-to-text. It accepts text, image and produces text. Use the publisher’s input format and preprocessing for your chosen deployment.
Documented limits: 8.19K context. Measure a completed task using the prompts, documents and tools your application will use. Include reasoning and retries in the result.
The weights are downloadable under Apache 2.0. Check runtime support and size the complete model and working context for your expected concurrency.
These records share a directory category. Check the source card, output type and deployment requirements before treating a model as a replacement.
