Tasks and inputs
Jamba2 3B is listed for Text generation. It accepts text and produces text. Use the publisher’s input format and preprocessing for your chosen deployment.
Jamba2 3B is AI21's Apache-2.0 text checkpoint for compact document assistants and deployments with a tighter memory budget.
The specification score summarizes recorded features and limits. It is not a benchmark result.
Recorded modality support shows what this model can accept and produce. An undocumented modality is shown as unknown rather than assumed to be unsupported.

Jamba2 3B is AI21's Apache-2.0 text checkpoint for compact document assistants and deployments with a tighter memory budget.
The publisher documents a 256,000-token context window and a hybrid Transformer–Mamba architecture. Context capacity tells you how much input the interface can accept; it does not measure whether a model retrieves the right fact from the middle of a document.
Jamba2 targets grounded outputs and steerability. Test answers against the supplied documents, including questions whose answers are absent. Treat unsupported certainty as a failure even when the prose is fluent.
Keep the chat template, checkpoint revision and cache configuration with your test record. Runtime support for the architecture matters when choosing a server or a conversion format. Do not assume that a configuration made for an ordinary attention-only model will provide the same memory or throughput behavior.
Use several real document sets, including contradictory versions and passages with similar names or figures. Require the answer to point to the supplied evidence. Check constraint-following, missing-evidence handling and the amount of correction a person must perform.
Downloadable weights do not include a managed endpoint or free inference. This profile leaves hosted pricing unset. Before choosing a cloud route, verify its model identifier and current availability independently of an older AI21 Studio example. Compare the compact checkpoint and Mini on the same tasks before paying the operational cost of a larger deployment.
Publisher source 1 Deployment limits and commercial terms belong to the selected checkpoint or API route.

Documented limits: 256K context. Measure a completed task using the prompts, documents and tools your application will use. Include reasoning and retries in the result.
The weights are downloadable under Apache-2.0. Check runtime support and size the complete model and working context for your expected concurrency.
These records share a directory category. Check the source card, output type and deployment requirements before treating a model as a replacement.
