Tasks and inputs
Step3 VL 10B is listed for Image-text-to-text, Document OCR. It accepts text, image and produces text. Use the publisher’s input format and preprocessing for your chosen deployment.
Step3 VL 10B is an Apache-licensed vision-language checkpoint for visual perception, reasoning and grounded image questions.
The specification score summarizes recorded features and limits. It is not a benchmark result.
Recorded modality support shows what this model can accept and produce. An undocumented modality is shown as unknown rather than assumed to be unsupported.

Step3 VL 10B is an Apache-licensed vision-language checkpoint for visual perception, reasoning and grounded image questions.
Step3 VL 10B combines a visual perception encoder with a language backbone for image-based understanding and text responses. The publisher describes tasks including counting, OCR, grounding and GUI interpretation. The complete checkpoint is about 10B parameters, with a 65,536-position configuration.
A visual question requires the model’s image processor and chat template as well as the weights. Follow the supplied inference example, including the end-of-sequence settings. Generic language-model loading can appear to work while failing to encode the visual input or stop generation correctly.
Include a diagram with several similar objects, an image with small text and a screenshot whose layout affects the answer. Compare extracted words or coordinates with the original image. Ask one question where the evidence is unclear and check whether the response communicates that uncertainty rather than inventing a detail.
The Apache 2.0 checkpoint is a candidate for a smaller visual assistant. Runtime memory depends on image resolution and the length of the conversation in addition to the weights. The publisher provides inference and quantized variants separately; those files are deployment choices with their own tradeoffs. No universal managed API price is established by this downloadable model.

Step3 VL 10B is listed for Image-text-to-text, Document OCR. It accepts text, image and produces text. Use the publisher’s input format and preprocessing for your chosen deployment.
Documented limits: 65.54K context. Measure a completed task using the prompts, documents and tools your application will use. Include reasoning and retries in the result.
The weights are downloadable under Apache 2.0. Check runtime support and size the complete model and working context for your expected concurrency.
These records share a directory category. Check the source card, output type and deployment requirements before treating a model as a replacement.
