Web Algebra MCP server exists for a simple reason — assistants are far more useful when they can act on Web Algebra directly instead of describing what you should do. A composable RDF operations system that translates natural language instructions into JSON-formatted domain-specific language operations for loading, querying, and writing RDF Linked Data.
This system implements generic operations for RDF Linked Data and SPARQL management, as well as some LinkedDataHub-specific operations. Operations can be consumed in two ways:

Operations — The operations cover read-write Linked Data, SPARQL queries, URI manipulation, and LinkedDataHub-specific resource creation. Non-exhaustive list:Standalone — The Standalone tool exposed by this server@modelcontextprotocol/inspector on npm is all you need. Most clients run it directly, so configuration is a few lines and a restart.
You will need 4 environment variables: CERT_PEM_PATH, CERT_PASSWORD, OPENAI_API_KEY, MCP_PROXY_AUTH_TOKEN. The server will not start without them, which is usually why the tools fail to appear on a first run. Keep credentials in your client's env block or a secrets manager rather than in a file you might commit.
Plenty of developer tooling servers cover similar ground. The differences that matter in practice are scope of access and how much setup stands between you and a working tool call. Web Algebra's toolset — Operations, Standalone — is a fair guide to whether it matches your workflow. It is maintained by atomgraph; worth a glance at recent repository activity before you build anything load-bearing on it.
