The published pypi package is release-notes-mcp, version 1.0.1. Its declared MCP transport is stdio.
The package declares RELEASE_MCP_CONFIG_JSON: Config (repos + contextSources) as inline JSON, e.g. {"repos":["myorg/web"],"contextSources":[]}. Use this for uvx/hub launches with no file to mount. Either this or RELEASE_MCP_CONFIG is required.; RELEASE_MCP_CONFIG: Absolute path to a config.json file (alternative to RELEASE_MCP_CONFIG_JSON). Used when mounting a real file, e.g. in Docker.; TOKEN: Auth token for the provider (GitHub PAT / GitLab / Gitea token). Optional for public repos.; PROVIDER: Forge to read releases from: github | gitlab | gitea. Defaults to github.; BASE_URL: API base URL — only for self-hosted GitLab or Gitea/Forgejo..
Check the maintainer’s instructions for account access, authentication and the supported client configuration. Once connected, inspect the tools your client receives and try a small task that matches the server’s stated purpose. The registry description does not include a verified, complete tool list.
View the publisher’s registry entry · Project repository. This profile uses version 1.0.1 from the registry. Registration identifies the publisher namespace; it does not establish that this is a first-party integration for every service it connects.
