Inspire MCP Server

Model Context Protocol server for images search using Inspire backend. Claude Dekstop ready. The inspire mcp server wraps that behind the Model Context Protocol, so an assistant can use it through 1 defined tool rather than through you.

Variables can be configured using environment variables or command-line arguments, depending on the runtime platform (Docker/Node).

Configuration

You will need 2 environment variables: IMAGES_BASE_PATH, IMAGE_BASE_PATH. Keep credentials in your client's env block or a secrets manager rather than in a file you might commit.

Caveats

• It runs with your machine's permissions. That is convenient and also the reason to think about what you point it at before you approve a tool call.
• MCP clients confirm each tool call by default. Leave that on until you have watched what the inspire mcp server does with a few real requests.
