How do I provide authentication to GitHub?

Set a `GITHUB_PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKEN` in the `serverless.yml` file. The token is stored in AWS Lambda environment variables; do not submit `serverless.yml` to a public repository.

What credentials does it need?

It reads `GITHUB_PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKEN` from the environment. Store these in your client's env block or a secrets manager — never commit them to a repository — and grant the narrowest scope that still covers your use case.
