An MCP server for analyzing images using OpenRouter vision models. This server provides a simple interface to analyze images using various vision models like Claude-3.5-sonnet and Claude-3-opus through the OpenRouter API.
The server is distributed via npm as @catalystneuro/mcp_read_images, so most clients can run it without a manual build step. Add it to your MCP client's configuration and restart the client to pick it up — the copy-paste configs for Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor are on this page.
Before the server will start you need to supply 2 environment variables: OPENROUTER_API_KEY, OPENROUTER_MODEL. Keep credentials in your client's env block or a secrets manager rather than committing them.
