Search Outlook email through pepebits’ community MCP server using Microsoft Graph. Enable OUTLOOK_READ_ONLY to remove mutating tools.
This community Outlook MCP server connects a local assistant to Microsoft Graph mail tools. It is maintained by pepebits and is separate from a Microsoft-published MCP integration.
A focused request can find messages from a sender about a named project and summarize the matching conversation. Include dates and message context in the answer. Set OUTLOOK_READ_ONLY=true when the task only needs inspection; the documented mode removes mutating tools such as sending, moving and deleting messages.
The npm package @pepebits/outlook-mcp requires Node.js 24 or later. Its login tool provides a device-code sign-in flow. The shared Azure app supports personal Microsoft accounts by default; work or school accounts require the documented custom Azure application and tenant configuration. Authentication tokens are kept locally through the project’s token-store mechanisms.
Check the linked publisher documentation and your connected client's tool list. Names and availability can vary with the server version and account permissions.
