The contract-templates package exposes a catalogue of templates and supporting legal content. Use list_content to discover stable identifiers, then get_content to retrieve the actual item. Template filling produces documents from supplied fields; it does not establish that a form suits a particular transaction or jurisdiction.
The documented npm package runs locally over stdio. It is separate from the contracts-workspace server, which organizes repository and catalogue workflows. Some practice guides, checklists and surveys require a local OpenAgreements checkout because they are not bundled into the template package. When those resources are unavailable, the catalogue reports the missing content types.
Start with a sample template and fictional parties, then compare the completed DOCX with the template and field values. The APAP pilot covers a limited eligible template rather than every agreement in the catalogue. Review provenance, clauses and unresolved placeholders before using a generated document in a real transaction.
