MCP server for MASV. Provides tools to use MASV API. MASV is an easy-to-use, secure, and ultra-reliable cloud-based and on-prem managed file transfer service for large file workflows. The masv mcp server wraps that behind the Model Context Protocol, so an assistant can use it through 1 defined tool rather than through you.
An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides LLMs with tools to interact with the MASV API.
MASV is an easy-to-use and ultra-reliable managed file transfer service designed for teams of all sizes. It allows users to send and receive massive files without size limits, while ensuring data integrity and security through its robust cloud infrastructure that supports cloud, on-prem, and hybrid workflows.
Everything the assistant can do here goes through one of these:
Build — The Build tool exposed by this server@getmasv/masv-mcp-server on npm is all you need. Most clients run it directly, so configuration is a few lines and a restart.
You will need 2 environment variables: MASV_TEAM_ID, MASV_API_KEY. The server will not start without them, which is usually why the tools fail to appear on a first run. Keep credentials in your client's env block or a secrets manager rather than in a file you might commit.
This sits in the developer tooling group, where several servers overlap in what they claim to do but differ sharply once you actually set them up. Masv's toolset — Build — is a fair guide to whether it matches your workflow. It is maintained by getmasv; worth a glance at recent repository activity before you build anything load-bearing on it.
We check each listing at SyncDev against the project's documentation before it goes live — if something here drifts out of date, it is a bug worth reporting.
