What is the Eulerian MCP server?

Most monitoring and observability work still happens through a UI a human drives. Eulerian MCP server moves it into the conversation instead. Provides access to the Eulerian Marketing Platform: analytics, attribution & data activation.

The short version

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) proxy server that bridges AI assistants (Claude Desktop, Gemini CLI, etc ...) to a remote Eulerian Marketing Platform MCP server. This proxy handles authentication, request forwarding, and provides a local MCP interface to your remote Eulerian instance.

  • 🔌 Proxy Architecture — Bridges local MCP clients to remote Eulerian MCP server via HTTP
  • 🔐 Secure Authentication — Uses Bearer token authentication for remote server access
  • 🌐 Cross-platform support — Works on Windows, Linux, and macOS
  • 🤖 Multiple AI clients — Compatible with Claude Desktop and Gemini CLI
  • 📝 Comprehensive Logging — Logs all requests/responses for debugging
  • ⚡ Async HTTP — Non-blocking requests using httpx for better performance

The tools it exposes

The server publishes 2 tools. What each one is for:

  • Solution — Ensure you've set the EMP_API_ENDPOINT in your configuration
  • Prerequisites — The Prerequisites tool exposed by this server

Getting it running

The server ships on npm as @modelcontextprotocol/inspector, so your MCP client can launch it on demand — there is no separate build step. Add the server block to your client's configuration, restart it, and the tools register themselves.

What it needs from you

Configuration is passed through the environment: EMP_API_ENDPOINT, EMP_API_TOKEN. Treat anything key-shaped as a real credential — scope it to the minimum the server needs, and rotate it if it ever lands in a shared config.

  • Python 3.10 or higher - Install Python - Access to a remote Eulerian Marketing Platform MCP server (HTTP endpoint) - Valid authentication token for the remote server - One of the following AI clients: - Claude Desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) - Gemini CLI - Codex CLI (macOS, Linux) - Claude Code (macOS, Linux) - Cursor (Windows, macOS, Linux) - VS

How it compares

This sits in the monitoring and observability group, where several servers overlap in what they claim to do but differ sharply once you actually set them up. Eulerian's toolset — Solution, Prerequisites — is a fair guide to whether it matches your workflow. It is maintained by matjmat; worth a glance at recent repository activity before you build anything load-bearing on it.

We check each listing at SyncDev against the project's documentation before it goes live — if something here drifts out of date, it is a bug worth reporting.

Things to watch

  • It runs with your machine's permissions. That is convenient and also the reason to think about what you point it at before you approve a tool call.
  • Missing credentials fail quietly in some clients — if no tools show up, check the environment block first.
  • Keep per-call confirmation enabled while you learn its behaviour; it is the cheapest safeguard you have.

Frequently asked questions

It connects Eulerian to MCP-compatible AI assistants such as Claude and Cursor, exposing 2 tools (Solution, Prerequisites) that the assistant can call on your behalf. Instead of copying data back and forth by hand, the assistant works with Eulerian directly.
