An ElevenLabs MCP server
An ElevenLabs MCP server. Exposed over MCP by the elevenlabs mcp server, that capability becomes something an assistant can invoke while it works, not something you go and do afterwards.
Official ElevenLabs Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables interaction with powerful Text to Speech and audio processing APIs. This server allows MCP clients like Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, OpenAI Agents and others to generate speech, clone voices, transcribe audio, and more.
ENOENT on PyPI is all you need. Most clients run it directly, so configuration is a few lines and a restart.
You will need 3 environment variables: ELEVENLABS_API_KEY, ELEVENLABS_MCP_OUTPUT_MODE, ELEVENLABS_MCP_BASE_PATH. The server will not start without them, which is usually why the tools fail to appear on a first run. Keep credentials in your client's env block or a secrets manager rather than in a file you might commit.
Plenty of developer tooling servers cover similar ground. The differences that matter in practice are scope of access and how much setup stands between you and a working tool call. It is maintained by angelogiacco; worth a glance at recent repository activity before you build anything load-bearing on it.
