Packages and local setup

The published npm package is @devinmlowe/engram, version 0.5.0. Its declared MCP transport is stdio.

The package declares ENGRAM_DB_PATH: SQLite database path (default: /engram.db, i.e. ~/.local/share/engram/engram.db); ENGRAM_MCP_PORT: Port of the optional engram HTTP daemon to bridge to (default 9907); ENGRAM_MCP_TOKEN: Bearer token forwarded to the HTTP daemon when it requires one; ENGRAM_MCP_STANDALONE: Set to 1 to never bridge: always run the full server in-process.

This package has launch arguments in its registry record. Use the maintainer’s configuration for those arguments rather than launching it with only the package name.

Before connecting

Check the maintainer’s instructions for account access, authentication and the supported client configuration. Once connected, inspect the tools your client receives and try a small task that matches the server’s stated purpose. The registry description does not include a verified, complete tool list.
