ClipToWSL - MCP server for Windows clipboard access from WSL
ClipToWSL is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables AI coding agents like Claude Code to read Windows clipboard contents from within WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux). This allows seamless access to clipboard data including text and images when working in WSL environments.
Once ClipToWslMcp is connected, these are the calls the assistant has available:
Logs — The MCP server provides console logging for debugging: - Process startup and shutdown events - Health check results - Error messages and stack tracesContributing — 1. Fork the repository 2. Submit a pull requestThe server ships on npm as typescript, so your MCP client can launch it on demand — there is no separate build step. Add the server block to your client's configuration, restart it, and the tools register themselves.
You will need one environment variable: CLIPBOARD_EXE_PATH. Keep credentials in your client's env block or a secrets manager rather than in a file you might commit.
