AWS Knowledge is a public hosted MCP server for retrieving AWS documentation and related technical guidance.
The documented endpoint is https://knowledge-mcp.global.api.aws. The service does not require an AWS account or authentication and is subject to rate limits. It provides knowledge rather than access to the resources inside an AWS account. Do not confuse it with an authenticated AWS operations server.
Use the configuration documented for your chosen client. Complete any required account authorization, inspect the discovered tools and begin with one read whose answer you already know.
For an implementation question, specify the service, region and runtime. Ask for source links that explain the relevant constraints and for an example that matches the installed SDK version.
Keep resource identifiers and source links in the answer. They make it possible to reproduce the result and identify whether the assistant used the intended document, workspace or dataset.
Check the retrieved guidance against the intended region and feature availability. Documentation retrieval can support a proposed change, but deployment and verification still need the application’s actual account and infrastructure workflow.
If a connection works but the workflow fails, inspect the resource scope and required arguments before changing the URL. For recurring use, retain the client version and the selected account or source context with the workflow, then recheck discovery after updates.
