A preconfigured development container setup for AI-assisted development with Claude, based on VS Code Dev Containers with integrated Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for file system and shell operations. Exposed over MCP by the aibd dev container mcp server, that capability becomes something an assistant can invoke while it works, not something you go and do afterwards.
This repository provides a ready-to-use development container that:
Installation goes through your MCP client rather than a global install: point it at @gergelyszerovay/mcp-server-aibd-devcontainer on npm and it is fetched when the client starts. The copy-paste blocks for Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor are further down this page.
